These skill-based volunteers support MCC’s Marketing & Communications team to increase visibility of the center’s programs within our community,

About This Opportunity

WHAT IS the MCC BUZZ TEAM?

The Buzz Team is a group of professional in our community that is committed to providing skill-based support to Manny Cantor Center’s Marketing & Communications team. Volunteers leverage their knowledge and skills to participate in this working group that strives to increase visibility of the center’s programs within the community and strengthen and grow partnerships with local business and community organizations.  The Buzz Team plays a critical role in spreading the mission and message of MCC to constituencies that will benefit. Currently we are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

Community Ambassadors: Canvass neighborhood/businesses with flyers to promote upcoming programs and events; Represent MCC at community weekend/evening events (training will be provided)

Translators: Written translation of MCC collateral (Chinese & Spanish); Verbal translation at special events
 

Photographers: Capture community programming and events at MCC
 

YOUR COMMITMENT:

Commit 1-5 hours/week or 5-10 per month to volunteering (varies with role and your schedule)
Regular communication with MCC Marcom staff to keep each other updates
Attend MCC Buzz Team meetings and events (quarterly)
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional in a Marketing & Communications related field or prior volunteer experience in related area
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Passion for MCC’s mission and a familiarity of our programs (or a willingness to learn)
